Solidarity to the militants and organisations of the Revolutionary Left in Argentina against the corrupt Far – Right Milei government

The suppression and intimidation of the worker’s movement from the Milei government in Argentina is continuously escalating. A well organised political prosecution against the most militant elements of the worker’s movement and militants of the Revolutionary Left has begun. The events of June 3rd, when the Federal Police of Argentina attempted to break into the Partido Obrero headquarters in Buenos Aires, as well as the prosecution of militants, with false accusations, clearly reveal the attempt to criminalize and eliminate anyone who is struggling against the government’s barbaric plans.

The revolutionary left, deeply rooted inside the working class, has played a significant role in defending the popular masses. Its defiant stance against the neoliberal policies and the capitalist crisis, has revealed it to be the only true opposition to Milei’s far – right government. Recent popular protests managed to thwart a significant portion of the government’s neoliberal assault, showcasing the strength and effectiveness of the worker’s movement.

Last week, corrupt judge Casanelo, following Milei’s orders, proceeded to the prosecution of Eduardo Beliboni and twelve leading figures of Polo Obrero and Partido Obrero, aiming to eliminate the resistance of the worker’s movement and put an end to the pushback against its policies.

Despite the prosecutions, the militants and the Revolutionary Left don’t give up. They organize protests and call for a General Strike. Solidarity against the prosecutions and the media’s smear campaigns is crucial at this moment. The campaign of neo – fascist Milei puts Argentina’s democratic liberties in danger taking aim at the movement’s most progressive elements.

Police break into factories and public businesses, interrupting assemblies and suppressing protests. Whoever speaks up for Palestine is prosecuted for his comments on social media. Hundreds of people have been wounded, dozens have been illegally arrested and are still detained, while many media workers have been the subject of attacks. National security forces invade social centres and public kitchens, intensifying state terror against workers and the poor masses.

 The epicentre of the attack is Polo Obrero, with its members facing imprisonment for organizing in their neighbourhoods. Milei and other far – right figures have even threatened to assassinate leaders such as Eduardo Beliboni making even more clear who can be a threat to his decayed regime.

All this is happening while the corruption of Milei is now crystal clear and the regime’s true nature is more and more evident. Scandals concerning the selling of food predestined for the poor and the hoarding of tons of food while the people are starving, the handing over of the country to the banking capital (Ley Bases), etc.

Argentina’s working class together with the organizations of the revolutionary left must continue their struggle against the neoliberal and far – right plans of the Milei government. In Greece, Argentina and the rest of the world we must reinforce our common class struggle for the defence of the working class’ achievements, against the corrupt governments of the wealthy, of suppression and war.
